The Calder Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. They had a big party for family and friends last night at the National Arts Club on Gramercy Park. I brought in some very unusual performers to add to the festivities: Bryan Berg, the world-champion card castle builder, created a throne and an Eiffel Tower out of hundreds of decks of cards; Masaji Terasawa performed the traditional Japanese street art of candy sculpting; puppeteer James Godwin brought his amazing and funny puppets to life; the beautiful Valeria Fox showed off her constrictor snakes; and I performed magic around the room.
