Professor for a Morning
My friend Jean Gardner asked me to come and talk to her class at the New School this morning. The students were architects and designers and they were interested in hearing about my apprenticeship with my magic teacher, Slydini. We talked a lot about the difference between mentorship and apprenticeship. To me, apprenticeship goes much deeper than mentorship. When you are an apprentice, you learn EVERYTHING there is to know about living the life your teacher has. And you do what your teacher tells you to do without question. A lot of people are unfamiliar with this way of teaching, but it is very effective.
