This morning I was up really early to host an event for Chrysler in Bryant Park to promote their new “Aspen” SUV: The Chrysler Aspen Snowdoku Challenge. They had set up a giant sudoku board made out of ice, and there were teams competing against each other for a chance to win a trip to Aspen. As the master of ceremonies, my job was to keep everything moving and to provide commentary during the game. It was pretty chilly, but we all stayed warm with lots of cups of hot chocolate. There was one huge team of sudoku experts who were absolutely sure that they would win, but they were bumping into each other all over the place and got a bit confused. The winning group was a swim team from the University of Pennsylvania. They were extremely well-coordinated and they all had very clear roles. They finished in no time and then even took a few moments to check their work. It was beautiful to watch and they provided an exciting ending to a great event.
